The German-Japanese encounter festival has been held annually on the banks of the Rhine in Düsseldorf in May or June since 2002 and regularly enchants more than half a million visitors.
Along the Rhine embankment promenade, visitors from Germany and abroad can expect an authentic and diverse range of music, dance, sport and culinary delights as well as numerous information and hands-on tents and interesting stage programs.
The highlight of the festival is a spectacular Japanese firework display that lights up the Rhine late in the evening.
